Discover Your True Purpose
You were not meant to just get through life.
There is more to life than managing what needs to be done, repeating what is familiar, and waiting for things to feel different.
Robyn on Purpose is a place to understand what is shaping your experience, recognize what is no longer working, and find support for creating something different.

Welcome
I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
Sometimes the things making life harder are difficult to see from inside them. You may be carrying more than is yours, holding back what you really feel, staying somewhere that no longer fits, or giving so much to others that there is very little left for you.
There are often understandable reasons for the way you've learned to move through life. A different perspective can help you see those reasons more clearly, question what you may have accepted as simply the way things are, and recognize where something could be different.
That is what I hope you find here: greater understanding, a different way of seeing what you're experiencing, and practical support for creating meaningful change in your life.

You Don't Need to Try Harder
YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHY THINGS FEEL HARD IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Sometimes what makes life difficult isn’t immediately obvious.
You may be carrying responsibilities that don’t actually belong to you. Holding back what you feel to protect someone else. Staying quiet because you don’t know how to say what needs to be said. Giving more than you have because receiving feels uncomfortable. Or staying somewhere that makes you unhappy because leaving feels irresponsible.
There are reasons you think, respond, protect, avoid, give, stay, or hold back in the ways that you do.
Understanding those reasons doesn’t mean everything needs to change. It gives you a clearer view of what is actually happening — and what might be possible from here.

What You Need Depends on What's Really Going On
Different problems need different kinds of support.

Heal What
Needs Healing
What you’re experiencing now may be connected to something you’ve carried, learned, or adapted to in the past.

Learn and Respond
Differently
Sometimes the struggle is shaped by how you’ve learned to respond — the beliefs, habits, or strategies you rely on when something feels difficult.

Make a Change or See Differently
Sometimes something genuinely needs to change. Other times, a different perspective can change what you see, what you understand, or what becomes possible.
You don’t have to know which one it is before you begin.
You only need somewhere to start.

How Purpose Works
Purpose is often treated as something you either have or haven't found yet. Find the right career, the right calling, the right cause, and life will finally feel meaningful.
But purpose alone doesn't create fulfilment.
You can give enormously to other people and still lose your sense of purpose when you're depleted. Without enough nourishment, there is less energy for curiosity, creativity, connection, contribution, and the things that make you feel alive.
You can also create a life that nourishes you and still feel that something is missing. True fulfilment comes from having somewhere meaningful to direct what you have to offer — through what you create, contribute, improve, care for, or become part of.
And neither nourishment nor purpose exists only as something to understand. You have to participate in creating them. The way you direct your attention, engage with opportunities, relate to your circumstances, and show up in ordinary life shapes how much of either you actually experience.
